Bishop Chibly visits WBVM 90.5FM in Tampa, FL

John Morris, manager of WBVM 90.5 FM, meets Bishop Chibly Langlois from Ft. Liberte, Haiti. John shows the Bishop around the radio station and shows him the latest technology in Radio communication.

Bishop Chibly is trying to get funding for his radio station in Haiti. He needs $48,000 to build a radio station in his diocese.

Radio in Haiti is not just entertainment, it's mostly education. Over 60% of Haitians in the North East area of Haiti do not read or write. Electricity is not available. Generators are used for power and is very rare. Radio is crucial to share health, medical and education concerns with the people. Posted by Picasa
