Container # 4 loaded for Haiti

Fr. Waters and Corpus Christi parishioners, St. Francis Cabrini parishioners, Christ the King parishioners and HBHH helpers load the 4th container to leave for Haiti this year.

This container has construction, school supplies, medical supplies, bikes and other items destined to Haiti. 

Bishop Chibly visits WBVM 90.5FM in Tampa, FL

John Morris, manager of WBVM 90.5 FM, meets Bishop Chibly Langlois from Ft. Liberte, Haiti. John shows the Bishop around the radio station and shows him the latest technology in Radio communication.

Bishop Chibly is trying to get funding for his radio station in Haiti. He needs $48,000 to build a radio station in his diocese.

Radio in Haiti is not just entertainment, it's mostly education. Over 60% of Haitians in the North East area of Haiti do not read or write. Electricity is not available. Generators are used for power and is very rare. Radio is crucial to share health, medical and education concerns with the people.

1. Bishop Chibly of Fort Liberte, Haiti visits Tampa Oct. 23-25, 2006
2. Fr. Medenel from St. Suzanne, Haiti will speak at all the masses at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa, November 4th-5th,2006. He will be available after each mass, please come by to meet him.
3. Advent Social for Women: Mark you calendars, December 3, 2006 at Christ the King in Tampa 7-9pm. Tables are $80, $10 for individuals.
4. Next container leaves Friday Oct. 27th.

Peanut Butter Drive gets Results!!

Students from St. Joseph's school load peanut butter and other supplies donated to Haiti.
St. Joseph is one of many schools participating in the the peanut butter drive for Haiti.
Malnutition is a major problem for the children of Haiti. Red hair and swollen bellies are a clear sign that they are severely malnourished.
